Bodegas Enrique Mendoza - L'Alfàs del Pi

The story of Bodegas Enrique Mendoza began in 1989, when Enrique Mendoza decided to take up the production of wine. Initially, he focused on international grape varieties, but over time, the local variety Monastrell, characteristic of the winemaking of the Alicante region, began to play an increasingly important role.

An interesting fact is the vineyard's Finca El Chaconero estate near Villena. The first documents confirming viticulture in its area date back to the 16th century.

The winery in L'Alfàs del Pi can be visited with a guide. The route leads through the production rooms, the bottling plant and the underground cellar. One of the most interesting experiences is the tasting of seven wines, accompanied by Spanish cheeses, cold cuts, olive oil and chocolate. Special wine tastings straight from the barrels are also organized.
